Plant pot holder

A hand thrown stoneware pot. This is a unique piece of ceramic as it has a double wall that forms the main shape of the pot. This is done by carefully folding the clay up and back on itself during the throwing stage of making. It has been carved into to form glimpses of the inner wall of the vessel. I have applied glaze between the walls to add colour, contrast and depth.

The piece is finished in a contemporary blue glaze on the outside and orange glaze on the inside and in between the walls that form the main body.

The holder is very versatile and can have many uses. I have displayed it as a plant pot holder here to give a feel and idea of size and perspective. It can be used outdoors or indoors. All pots I've made for myself have survived being outdoors in all weathers.

This is a unique item and there are only three in existence. I don't plan on making more unless I'm commissioned. If you're looking for a one of a kind piece then these pieces can fulfil that brief. Great for everyday use or occasions. Would look great on display or make an ideal gift. There are other similar pieces in this limited range.
